The Races

Reliving past glories? Challenging your mates? Testing yourself? New to racing? We have racing of all sorts to suit all abilities and ages so enter today!

GT Bicycles Dual Slalom – Friday 14th of June, 14:00 to 21:00.

Dual Slalom is the purest and most crowd-pleasing form of head to head mountain bike racing where the rivalry is the name of the game. We pit two racers against each other to do battle, with one aim, to beat the other competitor to the finish line!

The two competitors race head-to-head down two similar but separate courses. Following a qualification round, riders race against each other in an elimination format (heats) to determine the winner.

A BMX style start gate will fire the riders down the natural and flowing course on Friday evening. The course features a number of colour coded gates for the riders to pass on the open grass cornered course. Expect the fastest times to be sub 30 seconds on this entry-level course.

Race entries are limited to 200 riders for the Men and 50 for the Women with the top 64 men and the top 16 women going through to the finals. This will be calculated from your one timed run. Entries are limited with an entry fee of £25.00. Please note you must also purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival, even if you have purchased a race entry.

Enduro – Saturday 15th of June, 10:00 to 17:00.

Presented by Funn, we are re-naming this event to the ‘Funnduro’.

Taking in three short course stages this will be the perfect introduction for those wishing to enter their first enduro event, as the courses are classed as entry level. We will be utilising the popular ‘Mashup’ Format that allows you to be timed on each stage as many times as you can manage within the three hour period. The fastest logged time from each stage counts. With no fixed start times, this allows you to ride and race with your friends. Entries are limited with an entry fee of £30.00. Please note you must also purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival, even if you have purchased a race entry.

Fabric Quad Eliminator – Saturday 15th of June, 12:00 to 18:00.

The pre-runner to 4x. Four riders on the BMX style gate, elbows out and go! A simple knockout format will see the top two riders progress to the next rounds. Entries are limited with the top 64 men and the top 16 women going through to the finals. This will be calculated from your one timed run. The course is rated as entry level, (The DMR Bombhole will be the most extreme feature). Entries are limited with an entry fee of £25.00. Please note you must also purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival, even if you have purchased a race entry.

TRP Lake Ride – Saturday 15th of June, 18:00 to 19:00.

Get your bikini on! A simple knockout format will see riders try to navigate the tricky course as it bobs and weaves across the lake. Stay on and you progress to the next round, as simple as that! Entries are limited with an entry fee of £0.00 (FREE). Please note you must  purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival.

Schwalbe Tyres Downhill – Sunday 16th of June, 09:00 to 17:00.

Downhill mountain bike racing is the Formula 1 of the sport. Riders will race the clock as they set off at 30-second intervals down the legendary course that will see plenty of high-speed action with all the thrills and spills. Please note the hill is the same size as it was 20 years ago and the course is rated as entry level. Entries are limited with an entry fee of £25.00. Please note you must also purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival, even if you have purchased a race entry.

Cannondale Cross Country (XCO) – Sunday 16th of June, 09:00 to 17:00.

Cross Country ‘XCO’ races are held over multiple laps of an undulating circuit and have evolved massively in recent years: Technical skill is now as important as fitness to be successful. Riding the course you should expect everything from blazing fast descents to technical singletrack and lung searing climbs, giving everyone the chance to shine.

The course is estimated to be 5km long with laps times of between 20-30 minutes and will climb up the Classic Climb and along the ‘Cannondale Ridge’ before cutting its way back down and up the hill towards Peacock Villa and the Obelisk. The descent will be long and fast taking in the natural features of the hill. Please note you must also purchase a festival ticket to enter the festival, even if you have purchased a race entry.
